Join us on Mother's Day to engage in a generative poetry workshop with Tamir. Our goal for this workshop is for participants to walk away feeling excited about utilizing poetry as a way to express themselves, heal, and grow.
Tamir will walk us through how to navigate and approach poetry as an art form while also guiding us to create a piece that feels true and authentic to each individual. We will be looking to the Black Panther Party's first point which is "We want freedom. We want power to determine the destiny of our Black Community".
We will also engage with topics surrouding transition, relationships to our mother's and the freedom to exist as trans masc people.
Light snacks and water will be served. This event is a mask required event. We will have masks available.
Please bring a notebook or journal and a pen.
